Wild Deadwood Reads

Meeting readers at book events is one of my favorite parts about being an author. The events slowed down after the pandemic, but this last and upcoming year are bringing more opportunities for travel. This summer, I road tripped to Deadwood, South Dakota for an AWESOME reader event in the beautiful historic town.

I met readers at the book fair, hung out with author friends, and stumbled quite accidentally upon “Dignity.” I had no idea the statue was here. She’s stunning! Along the way, I took in the beauty of the black hills, admired the ponderosa pines, did some souvenir shopping, and stopped at Mt. Rushmore for a quick kiss with George.

Here are pictures from some of my favorite moments of the trip. Hope you’re getting some travel in this summer, too!

Happy reading!
